I have an old acer aspire 3000 with sis 1039:6330. So, I configured the
file xorg.conf with command sudo Xorg -configure and after that I
copied the new xorg.conf file into /etc/X11. So now I can boot in
lubuntu but I have low resolution 640x480. The only way to have the
I just resolve this problem. I changed the driver with vesa in
xorg.conf.Without xorg.conf , after the splash screen the monitor
automatically turn on and turn off every one second.

Here and 2 days after I did a clean install from the start ubuntu 11.04
