hmmm I hate to report this, but after today's update the problems with intel
video got back again.
Compiz doesn't want to start and xorg goes upto 100% in CPU usage...
has anyone else encountered the same problem?

However, the system doesn't even let me log out/switch to TTY. So the only
solution is to hard-reset.

hmmm killing compiz did the trick, too. It acts strange lately. The
screen gets frozen from time to time (especially, when using alt+tab
program switching) and compiz.real goes up 100% in CPU usage.
