Okay, I got dragging figured out:
It only requires one finger. Mouse the cursor over the bar above a window,
click (don't release), and without taking your finger off of the touchpad, move
around.

not supported with that driver. Only the radeon driver supports it but
only for 2D acceleration. Unity-2d should work fine.

I just tested natty with all the updates on a server board with ATI
ES1000 graphics (PCI ID 1002:515e) and the system automatically reverts
to unity-2d.
Output of /usr/lib/nux/unity_support_test -p :
OpenGL vendor string: Mesa Project
OpenGL renderer string: Software Rasterizer

The ATI ES1000 is a graphics chipset that was designed specifically for
use in servers. It does not do any 3D hardware acceleration. Will add a
blacklist entry to unity_support_test for this graphics chip.
