The graphic glitch just happened on my system (Ubuntu 23.10, Lenovo

Furthermore all extensions are deactivated (however, not deleted).

Upstream bug/discussion: https://github.com/anholt/libepoxy/issues/72
Main issue seems to be libepoxy having been unmaintained for some time,
but this issue is showing up in other distros as well so will have to be
fixed sooner or later.
Patch is trivial, bug/crash is due to passing on a pointer

I just upgraded my T60p to maverick and experience the same behaviour
with the open source ati driver from maverick repo:

If I plug in my secondary screen, set it to 1440x900 compiz keeps
running, desktop effects all still work, but are

I just found out that this was caused by the fglrx packets leftover from

the problem for me. Is this still an issue (for people who want to
upgrade) or may i

The advantage is that you can also use it when your XServer crashed

I solved my problem by this solution
http://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/nach-upgrade-fglrx-laesst-sich-nicht-deinstal/2/#post-2468538
Basically by deleting the entries from this file "/var/lib/dpkg/diversions"
(can be there more than one time)
/usr/lib/libGL.so.1.2
/usr/lib/fglrx/libGL.so.1.2.xlib
Yes, the same error occurs while trying to remove it by aptitude and
apt-get
the command line gives (sorry its German):
dpkg-divert: Keine Übereinstimmung mit Paket
beim Entfernen von »diversion of /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.2

I have to report that this bug does also affect other login-managers (well, one
at least: Slim).
And I am using a Nvidia 9500gt video card - not an ATI. So it does not seem to
have much to do with the video card actually.
I had the same problem: After an update with the automated update-manager

@Raptor
Where's the problem in using the "new" key combo? (Alt + Druck + K on my
German keyboard)
I think it's great they disabled Ctrl+Alt+Delete since it really is
possible to hit this accidentally (e.g. gedit uses Ctrl+Alt+PageUp to
switch tabs).
