Public bug reported: I installed ATI fglrx proprietary drivers with Ubuntu 13.10. I was not able to login through X. I read from some sources that it does not work with the latest X11. I purged the drivers using sudo apt-get purge fglrx* but after that whenever I reboot and login I see a set of error messages showing up. When I checked /var/log/Xorg.0.log, saw a line (EE) Failed to load module "fglrx" (module does not exist, 0), so it looks like there is still some reference to this driver somewhere. I don't know if this automatic error was generated due to this.
