Can confirm the problem - the latest drivers in Maverick (260.19.06 and
260.19.12) are unusable on Sony Vaio VPCF12S1E, giving a black screen.
The 256.xx drivers work fine, thank you for the link, otherwise my
laptop would be useless, since Nouveau crashes.

My monitor supports resolutions until 1024x768 with 60Hz. When come back
from display test the monitor image is a mess. My solution was to reset
mi computer to back all to normal
