When I plug displayport cable in, the picture on both monitors (laptop
and external) disappears. My laptop is thinkpad x220 with Intel Sandy
Bridge CPU/GPU.

It seems working, but there is something strange:
root@si14-laptop:~# cat /etc/default/grub | grep semaph
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=quiet splash i915.semaphores=1
root@si14-laptop:~# cat /sys/module/i915/parameters/semaphores
0
And this is so after reboot.
