After my update yesterday the Elantech touchpad mouse is dead in Ubuntu. Even my solution above does not help anymore. It happens in Linux 2.6.31-14-generic #48 as bad as in 2.6.31-15 generic. Even on a terminal (while X11 is down) I cannot get any input from it. E.g. cd /dev/input cat -v event1 c
