It's just happened to me too. It happens often when I use trasmission and firefox. Ubuntu 10.04 says there is no more space left and it opens up that program that counts the disk space. Well the home folder of mine has few little things, no more than 100 mb but that program says there are 2-3 GB used! Crazy enough I found out that .xsession-errors is the one causing this. this a ls -lar done to my home folder
