Going on #20's suggestion above, I did a complete removal of the "xserver-xorg-input-wacom" and "xserver-xorg-input-synaptics" packages from my 10.04 system. I can't be certain, as the problem has always been intermittent for me, but it seems to have gone away. My xorg.conf file made no reference to wacom or synaptics, although I guess device configuration is handled by Udev now; the relevant Udev files for wacom and synaptics were of course removed when I removed the related packages.
And just for reference, I updated from 9.10 to 10.04, but I first encountered this problem in 9.10, for which I did a clean install. -- Focus gets stuck to a window - impossible to select other windows https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/362359 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
