replaced syndaemon, perhaps some of you will find it useful too :). I have Ubuntu-packaged it and made it available in my ppa: https://launchpad.net/~tuos/+archive/codegrove One could argue that it would have been better to use the time and energy to help finding the real cause of this bug, but
