after upgrading from ubuntu 10.10 11.04 11.10 the laptop acer 5336 showed
the grubloader after a few seconds the screen went blank. ubuntu loaded normaly
when i conntected a external monitor was this one working. via screens i
'closed' the laptopscreen and turned it on
For what it's worth I tried the 2.6.35-17ck kernel from the PPA and it
didn't do anything. Still can't two finger scroll and, more importantly,
still can't disable the annoying trackpad tap-to-click. I'm pretty much
switched over to a mac only because of this issue. I can't believe
Vostro V13 is
I've also tested this with the 2.6.34rc6 upstream kernel and it still
exists. If this bug affects you too please remember to click the link
saying so. Right now it just says it affects 19 people but I'm sure the
number is much much higher

Hi, I am constantly fiddling with this problem, too. My Dell Inspiron
8200 running the Koala 9.10 never resumes neither from suspend nor
from hibernation, always resulting in a frozen black screen, in the end.
The patch of xorg.conf did not change anything for me. So, I executed
the apport-collect

Besides, the xfix option has disappeared from the recovery-mode
