Public bug reported:
This is a fresh 13.10 install on a new Thinkpad Helix. The error is
intermittent, maybe one out of every five suspends hangs this way.
Switching to tty works, killing lightdm puts me back to the login
screen.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.10
Package: xserver-xorg-
Using the original workaround (not comment #8), I have gotten back Wacom
input, and it is preserved across sleep. So maybe the updated udevs rule
is not right either. I haven't tested it. I had to reboot to put the new
rule into action.

I'm on 13.04 on a Nexus7 too and I really would love to find a way to apply
these patches, even manually.
Is someone willing to point me to the right direction?
Thank you in advance!

It seems to me that problem is in nvidia/nouveau drivers. Switched to
Intel card and no lockups so far.
"The problem is clearly upstream of Ubuntu as it affects a number of
distros with that kernel/nVidia driver combo" - yep, seems so.

This is also an issue on the Dell XPS 15 (October 2013). The Windows
touchpad driver works great and accounts for (ie. ignores) the resting
thumb, but the ubuntu driver does not.

Have a Lenono ThinkPad E40. have been running 12.04 LTS without any problem.
Just upgraded to 12.10 last night. Booting seems much slower. The error message
comes up before login screen and refuses to go.
Please see info from lspci, xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log.

Hello,
I installed Natty but i can't use it after install the nvidia-current driver.
Reboot after blank screen with any driver(173-270). I had this problem with
10.10 as well. I use 10.04lts now because it is stable but I would like to
upgrade if this problem will be solved. I have GeForce 8600m
I suspect this problem to be connected with the overall performance of
the computer. There is most probably a race condition between gnome
settings and gnome, because as far as all posts go it can be easily
fixed by waiting for two seconds before trying to load gnome settings. I
