Public bug reported:

Streaming of high definition audio/video does not work in Ubuntu 12.04
LTS. It worked fine in Ubuntu 11.10 and 11.04.

I am using the HDHomeRun Prime HDTV tuner, (with application HDHomeRun
Config GUI), which was able to stream HDTV to my computer perfectly in
Ubuntu 11.04 and 11.10. A computer I have that still has 11.10
installed still works perfectly.

After upgrading to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, the HDTV streaming no longer
functions. Audio breaks up and is unintelligible, and video stutters.
This problem exists on three different computers running 12.04 LTS, so
it is not isolated to a particular computer hardware issue.

Switching to a standard definition (SD) stream, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS works
fine.

It appears that for some reason 12.04 LTS is not able to handle the
higher bitrate of HD streaming. I have seen similar error reports using
other applications and hardware.

It would be helpful to track down and fix the bug because it is likely
to affect more users as 12.04 LTS gains wider use. Thanks.
