Public bug reported: Closing/opening the lid of my dell laptop to suspend/resume an Ubuntu session *usually* works.
However, rather often, the resuming hangs at some point in the process. Often, I get to see my mouse appearing (it even changes to a cursor when moved to an area of the screen where there should be a text-editor), nothing else appears: all black. just in case this has something to do with it, I use xscreensaver.
