Public bug reported: The screen freezes, sometimes including mouse cursor, particularly when I scroll in the internet browser. I first experienced with FF and so switched to Chromium, where it didn't stop. Also scrolling in pdf-documents or in open office is very slow and "jumps". I didn't experience this before upgrading ubuntu version to 12.04. Right after upgrade, the system froze continuously while the cursor could be moved around without being able to click anything. It required a hard boot every time, if that is what is meant by holding down the power button until the machine shuts down. After several software updates, that situation has improved, but I still experience several times a day that the system hangs while scrolling in browser or in a document reader. Also music and cursor hangs, but if I don't touch anything, it finally picks up again after maybe 15-20 seconds. It also still happens that the system freezes entirely like it did right after installing 12.04, thus needing a hard boot again. I don't have the technical skills or the capacity to develop them to solve this on my own, so I really hope you can help me here!
