Public bug reported: I was running Google Chrome (unstable version 24.0.1284.2) with
google-chrome --ignore-gpu-blacklist and was trying the "Fireworks" demo from http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Views/SiteMap/Default.html The problem started with a GPU hang as in bug #986524 and after 2 screen flashes, the X server crashed with the following backtrace: [ 185.008] (EE) Backtrace: [ 185.008] (EE) 0: /usr/bin/X (xorg_backtrace+0x49) [0xb76d8c59] [ 185.008] (EE) 1: /usr/bin/X (0xb7531000+0x1abb46) [0xb76dcb46] [ 185.008] (EE) 2: (vdso) (__kernel_rt_sigreturn+0x0) [0xb750e40c] [ 185.008] (EE) 3: /usr/bin/X (AttendClient+0x25) [0xb76dad95] [ 185.008] (EE) 4: /usr/bin/X (DRI2SwapComplete+0x1e2) [0xb76a74c2] [ 185.008] (EE) 5: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/radeon_drv.so (0xb6f4c000+0x3e371) [0xb6f8a371] [ 185.008] (EE) 6: /usr/bin/X (DRI2SwapBuffers+0x30e) [0xb76a78ce] [ 185.008] (EE) 7: /usr/bin/X (0xb7531000+0x177d24) [0xb76a8d24] [ 185.008] (EE) 8: /usr/bin/X (0xb7531000+0x3cba5) [0xb756dba5] [ 185.008] (EE) 9: /usr/bin/X (0xb7531000+0x2a10a) [0xb755b10a] [ 185.008] (EE) 10: /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 (__libc_start_main+0xf3) [0xb71644d3] [ 185.008] (EE) 11: /usr/bin/X (0xb7531000+0x2a4e9) [0xb755b4e9] [ 185.008] (EE) [ 185.008] (EE) Segmentation fault at address 0x0 [ 185.008] Fatal server error: [ 185.008] Caught signal 11 (Segmentation fault).
