Public bug reported: Xorg crashes far too easily.
Just now it crashed while running "disper -s" (as a command shortcut). This is not systematic. Often I run "disper -s" or -S without xorg crashing. Other times xorg crashed without doing anything particular. I experience more than a couple of xorg crashes a week, this is unbelievable. Linux is known for its supposed stability. This should be on of the topmost priorities in Ubuntu (and any linux distribution). A xorg crash is a DISASTER, one can loose hours of work. Xorg must be rock-solid.
