Public bug reported: I am unable to pass the -v option to an application I want to run in an xterm window. For example
$ xterm -e bash -v XTerm(271) $ This returns the version of xterm when I expected it to open an xterm window that would run then run the 'bash' with the -v option. When I compiled the latest version of xterm from http://invisible- island.net/xterm/ (Version 297), I do not have this issue. ** Affects: xterm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xterm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1236530 Title: xterm -e ... -v causes xterm to exit To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xterm/+bug/1236530/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
