Public bug reported:

If I set the launcher to autohide, it leaves a black bar when it hides.
If I move a window into that area the black bar covers it.  If I
maximize a window (say a browser) and mouse over that part of the
screen, it (may) redraw parts of the window (e.g. the back button in the
browser).

Frame rate in videos & other graphics has also gone way down (some
improvement with installing codecs).
