after recently installed lubuntu beta 14.04 started focus on problem,
and found this bugtracker. I propably would have not registered in
launchpad if I wouldn't have read the last
Marking Invalid for xorg and ati user space driver because dpm is in
kernel space.
DPM is enabled by default with kernel 3.13. We can consider this bug fix
released because DPM will be enabled automatically in Ubuntu
Trusty/14.04 and later.

Updated GRUB:
