Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 14.04 with Logitech H340 USB headphones.  When they are plugged
in, the pointer controller decides that the LMB is being held.  RMB,
MMB, scroll, and pointer location all function across touchpad, USB
mouse, and graphical tablet, but LMB does not.  Running the
3.13.0-23-generic kernel.

The workaround 
sudo rmmod usbhid && sudo modprobe usbhid quirks=<lsusb id>:0x04
does not work, instead all clicking functionality is lost when the headphones 
are plugged in.
