Public bug reported: This has been happening on and off since the Autumn, but only a handful of times so I haven’t been able to discover an underlying cause. It appears to trigger when I am using an application using GL, especially games though it has happened with just VLC, firefox and a file terminal sessions open. Moved onto the latest nvidia driver today to verify it was still happening there, with NVIDIA 361.18.
