I now have fully functional Unity Desktops, on both of my computers, after a wipe and fresh install. The main difference is no Google-Chrome. I have Chromium on both machines and the system on both have been updated. SO I think my problem was solved. -- You received this bug notification because

This may be a Google Chrome problem. Third install (with whole disk wipe) of 16.04.1 without google-chrome and the menu / launchpad have returned. Installed chromium and so far still works OK. I have to try this on my other computer to see if this is it. -- You received this bug notification beca
