Thanks for the bug report. Your kernel log appears to be flooded with errors about PCI device 8086:2f03 which is the "PCI Express Root Port 1". That doesn't really tell us what the problem is, except that it's either a hardware or kernel problem. I'm guessing it might be related to the nouveau kernel driver.
Please reboot into the grub menu (tap Esc before Ubuntu starts), and try booting an older kernel if you have one. If you don't have one then please try some older and newer kernels like: https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v5.4.103/ https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v5.11.4/ ** Summary changed: - Xorg freeze + Xorg freeze when using nouveau ** Tags added: nouveau ** Package changed: xorg-server (Ubuntu) => linux (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1917974 Title: Xorg freeze when using nouveau To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1917974/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
