Public bug reported: I upgraded my Ubuntu 20.04 LTS to 22.04 LTS using do-release-upgrade -d command on 2022/05/20 And then my external monitor, who worked well before on 20.04 LTS, was never able to connect. Everytime I try to connect it, set Joint Displays and press apply on the setting panel, the system crashes and goes back to login screen. When I switch to Windows on the same computer, external monitor is able to connect. Bug only appears on the new 22.04 LTS.
