Disregard my last comment. GDM's take screenshot doesn't query the
video ram, but some internal buffer :-(. Or is there a tool alternative
out there that actually scans the video RAM itself?

Well, next I'd like to forward this issue upstream, but first it must be
retested on latest development version of Karmic to make sure the issue
