I am the original reporter. However, I have a different computer now. This issue was appearing on an ati 32-bit jaunty system. My current machine is an nvidia 64-bit lucid system, and I cannot reproduce the problem with it. Unless someone else suffers from it, I mark it as 'Fix Released'. **
