Hi Bryce, I can't really reproduce this bug, because I do not know how
to revert to a virgin installation without reinstalling.
I can only guess that the modaliases packages were not automatically
installed and they got installed by installing nvidia-glx-180.
However, which binary packages from

Using the Hardware Drivers dialog, no driver was available for my 8800
GTS until _after_ I manually installed nvidia-glx-180. This is on a
