Thank you for the patch. I tried it but I'm sorry to say that XV still
doesn't work. See attached Xorg.0.log for details. This is still on the
viaembedded board mentioned in the original bug report.

I think I found solution for this problem.
Try to build openchrome according https://help.ubuntu.com/community/OpenChrome
but before build replace via_swov.c file.
What exactly motherboard/laptop do you have?

Update: SVN openchrome revision 891 on Ubuntu 10.10 (maverick) with
--enable-debug --enable-xv-debug (with still the same xv problem tested
with 'mplayer -vo xv -ao null '). Xorg.0.log attached.

retried this again. Obviously, my comment #7 is *wrong*. Tested the
openchrome SVN driver revision 811. XVideo is not working, independent
of applying your patch or not. However, with your patch at least X11
output (mplayer -vo x11 ...) is working (only unscaled output). With

I tried the SVN openchrome this week. With it the XVideo X11 extension
work without problems. However, with this driver my system's sound
system gets broken. (This is repeatable, with the vesa driver, the sound
works correctly.)
