That was fixed in 185.18.14-0ubuntu2:

* Add in drm_agp_memory-2.6.31.patch to enable 2.6.31 support
until NVIDIA has it in their next driver release. (LP: #394262)

I just downloaded the fix. For some reason, my computer (in Sterling,
CO) hasn't been communicating well with the local repositories - I
presume the fix was available earlier. As you already know, it works.
