Installing the driver via synaptic DOES NOT start the config of xorg, or give any message that it should. Itself its not a problem, but when you have: *removed the fully bloated preinstalled desktop enviroment *xfix has skullbashed your xorg *Just running cli since xorg cannot start I do think it should ask if you want to configure it or not.
