svn update
in your openchrome source directory, your source code will be update to
the newest one (trunk).
Or you can download source code from beginning, by type:
svn checkout http://svn.openchrome.org/svn/trunk openchrome

I tried the patch in the openchrome directory and it seemed to work. But
remaking and reinstalling did not change anything.
Since it works with a totally plain xorg.conf file, there must be
something wrong with mine (the one generated by 9.04). But what is it?

I think this bug appear because there is problem with v4l.
Try to disconnect TV and try again.
Try add the Option ForcePanel to your xorg.conf file
Try also:
Option ActiveDevice LCD

I tried putting them into the monitor section below the different
resolution modes. No change!
I also commented out the HP2133 TV section
