DetectableAutoRepeat is broken
We're closing this bug since it is has been some time with no response from the
original reporter. However, if the issue still exists please feel free to
reopen with the requested information. Also, if you could, please test against
the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this

apparently fixes this issue. Could we have this patch backported? Wine
sucks rather grandly with this bug present.

this is problematic with blender 2.5 as well, where we need to be able
to have repeat events for our text editor and holding keys without
release events during transform.

** Description changed:
XkbSetDetectableAutoRepeat doesn't have any effect; when autorepeating,
keys are still sending both KeyPress and KeyRelease messages, even
though with DetectableAutoRepeat set they should only keep sending
KeyPress events.
