It sounds like in moving to 9.04 your issue is solved? If so, we can
close this since we are unlikely to go back and fix the issue on 8.10.

Dear Bryce Harrington,
This night I implemented the next update to Ubuntu 9.04.
The procedure worked very well only some questions and
failure messages. The most programs are working.
The only one with problems is the CAD program DesignCAD 16
with wine. I think I must reinstall it. Under 8.04 it

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log
(and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this issue. If you've
made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.
