I know what "double click timeout" is. My objection was that
SingleTapTimeout seems to affect dragging too (not double clicking).

opinion.
If you only want to make double taps easier you don't have to change the
value of SingleTapTimeout (as the name also suggests). you can change
the value in the mouse configuration named "double click timeout" which
is defini
while it's definitely true that single taps feel more responsive with a
lower timeout I have noticed that double taps are much more difficult to
perform, for example when I double tap and drag my finger to select some
text.
Furthermore touchpads may have different sensitivity. This looks to me
