I can confirm that this doesn't happen with Karmic Alpha 4 Live CD. The easiest test was to switch user back and forth a few times. In Jaunty, the number of lines that came from the pmap command always increased. In Karmic, the number ebbed and flowed. I didn't run it long enough to be
