Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
I can see from launchpad that the package was deleted: # Removal requested on 2009-06-08. # Deleted on 2009-06-08 by Steve Langasek (From Debian) renamed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics; only provides obsolete packages However, there is no alternative to it, and I think that the deletion should be of the obsoleted xorg-driver-synaptics, and not of xserver- xorg-input-synaptics. To use the touchpad on my Aspire On while running the lpia port, I have to download and install the deleted package. lsb_release -rd: Description: Ubuntu karmic (development branch) Release: 9.10 apt-cache policy xserver-xorg-input-synaptics xserver-xorg-input-synaptics: Instalado: 0.99.3-2ubuntu4 Candidato: 0.99.3-2ubuntu4 Tabela de Versão: *** 0.99.3-2ubuntu4 0 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Karmic Koala lpia missing xserver-xorg-input-synaptics https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/413579 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
