Binary package hint: gpointing-device-settings

I'm using Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04 and the touchpad isn't auto recognized in
gpointing-device-settings. The only thing that shows up is ImPS/2
Logitech Wheel Mouse (Which doesn't exist).

Using 1.3.1-1 of gpointing-device-settings.

I can give 9.10 release candidates a shot if ya'll think it'll help
auto-detection.

Haven't done any trouble shooting either then reading the man page
(Which doesn't tell anything).

Where does this get its device list? Xorg.conf?
