Public bug reported: Compiz is slow and uses a lot of CPU. After a half-hour or so of computer usage, Xorg crashes and I can't Ctrl+Alt+F<n> to a different prompt.
Right now I am in Karmic and am using UXA (as it is my only choice). This happened in Jaunty, as well, when I tried UXA instead of EXA (which worked perfectly). mindvi...@~$ glxinfo | grep render direct rendering: No (LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT set) OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel(R) 945GME GEM 20090712 2009Q2 RC3 x86/MMX/SSE2 ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel Importance: Undecided Status: New -- UXA indirectly rendered and causes freezes on Intel 945GME https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/420671 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is the registrant for xf86-video-intel. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
