thanks for help, i think the problem was the graphi.
when i upgraded to ubuntu 9.10 there was no problem any more
now i can use graphical effects without problem.
but when i try to use the cub in compiz the screen become small, any ideia

you please explain in English what exactly is wrong and what steps you
have taken to troubleshoot? I gather that something is wrong with your
graphics display, and is not a documentation bug, so I will change the
package to xorg
