I have tested the AOC monitor connected to the Asus EEE pc 701 with the
released version of lucid and the highest resolution supported is 1440
by 900. Both 1920 and 1680 give a scrambled picture in the Monitor
applet in preferences. Note that my older asrock desktop with nvidia
geforce 7600 connect

I changed this bug to In Progress because my AOC monitor cannot be set
to either 1680 or 1920 in the Monitor applet in lucid with latest
updates. Unfortunately I used the wrong language in my comment. I should
have said I have found a expert only workaround. The intel 915 X code
does NOT determine

the nvidia/xrandr worked for me with my AOC monitor and a Radeon HD
4600:
xrandr --newmode "1920x1080_nv" 138.50 1920 1968 2000 2080 1080 1083 1088
+hsync -vsync
xrandr --addmode CRT2 1920x1080_nv
I then went into System | Preferences | Display and reset to 1920x1080
and rebooted. Then back

Hi Bryce. I started my old desktop that I hadn't used since last
September which allowed me to solve the problem. It has an nvidia
geforce 7600 graphics card. I booted the Lucid Netbook alpha 2 live cd
and observed that the AOC monitor was set to 1920 by 1080 and perfectly
visible. I attach the Nvi

I have the same problem on 9.10. runs at 1680x1050 @ 60 hz but Catylist
(ATI) control center sees max res at 1920x1080 @ 75Hz refresh but it
will not switch to this setting.
