it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with
the latest development release of Ubuntu? (ISO
Strange, I reinstalled ubuntu 9.10 (instead of upgrading) and now
jmonkeyengine demos run fine.

I tested this with other hardware/software combinations too:
1)
Ubuntu 9.04 + Radeon 2400HD (proprietary driver): works
2)
Ubuntu 9.10 + Radeon Xpress 200M: does not work and complains
"org.lwjgl.opengl.OpenGLException: Invalid enum (1280)". Jmonkey engine
