Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

On jaunty 32bit standard (updated) kernel 2.6.28, eeepc 1000H hardware.

Trying the new xorg intel driver 2.9.0 from the X-updates ppa.

Driver displays only flashing garbage.

Driver 2.7.1 that was in the same PPA until yesterday works on the same machine.
Note that 2.9.0 from the PPA is fine on a DELL D820 with intel graphics, so
the problem is related to some specific feature of the intel graphics card on
netbooks with the atom Chipset.

I am reporting since I guess that the same driver is expected to be used on
karmic too.]
I wonder if with more recent kernels it works.

If you need further details please ask.
I will not use apport, since it has already tried to publish my wifi passwords
without asking.
