I met this crash of google earth on Karmic (0910) before on Compaq Evo

Google Earth on Karmic - same type of crash upon launch. Displays the Earth,
zooms a bit and bounces back to the desktop. Here is my crash log:

Similar problem here on karmic. Google Earth starts up and crashes after a few
seconds, giving the following error message:

I am running into the same problem... running 9.10 and Google Earth will
boot but will soon crash (goes to blank screen) without offering any
error message... Dell D600. Not sure what my graphic driver is but will
check. Help, please.

I think I have the same problem.
I have a HP nx9110, and when I run GoogleEarth with Ubuntu 9.10
(installed thru medibuntu repos.), after a few seconds GGearth disapear,
and then I not able to do anything else.Not even alt+F4 fo go to the CLI
to reboot. I have to force the Power off.and then g
