The same problem is ocurring with my HP Pavilion DV5 notebook. I have
almost the same machine configuration (amd64, ATI Radeon HD 3200
Graphics, karmic koala, x86_64kernel, 2.6.31-1x-generic) and the
vertical lines issue started suddenly one week ago causing a
segmentation fault.
I reinstaled the
