I hit this issue running 9.10 on a Dell 2400 with integrated Intel
graphics chip 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]. Intermittently, probably once a
day at least, the screen would freeze, with no pointer or keyboard
response. ssh to the box did work. Restarting X or gdm did not work.

PS: There are still freezes in in Lucid on 845G chipsets. No need to
file a new bug report about it at the moment. See bug 541492.
