I have the exact same issue as the original poster. I am using NVIDEA
6100 on-board graphics with the latest supported NVIDEA driver. I am
just confirming that the bug is present for me too.

Using these edits it is now working.

1. Edit /etc/default/grub
add the line
GRUB_GFXMODE=1024x768x24
also add vga=792 like so
GRUB_LINUX_DEFAULTS="quiet splash vga=792"
2. Edit /etc/grub.d/00_header and locate the line which adds "set
