You have been subscribed to a public bug: When trying to test Ubuntu 9.10 (Desktop, not UNR) on a HP Mini 1030NR netbook, the GUI comes up completely scrambled (illegible) and virtual consoles tty1-tty6 all appear as blank screens when switching to them. To be clear, this is after I select "Try Ubuntu without any change to your computer". I've tried "Safe graphics mode" as well as "Normal" however both end up with same results. Forcing VESA for X11 (via "xforcevesa") didn't make a difference.
** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- No Console or GUI on HP Mini 1030NR During 9.10 Install https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/513445 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
