Happens with 2.6.33-rc7 as well, but the latest packages from xorg-
edgers seem to make it better. No lockups anymore, but still a black
screen after booting. Xorg logs a backtrace, but this is only usefull
when I get one with the -dbg-version, right? Will do this tomorrow.

I can confirm this. Crashes most of the times for me. I'm running a
mobile i3.
But I think it's a driver problem, since it seems to be fixed in
2.6.33-rc7. For now, it didn't crash with this kernel.
